Established since 1989, the company is headed by Corinne Van der Kindere and specialises in early Chinese ceramics and works of art , mainly from China’s Bronze Age through the early Ming dynasty .
Besides, she deals also in Chinese export paintings and Japanese art .
Corinne Van der Kindere graduated in Diplomatic and Political Sciences at the University of Brussels (ULB) in 1973, followed her husband international career and raised their three children in Madrid, Paris, Chicago and Singapore, where she joined the “Friends of the Singapore Museum” and caught the virus on early Chinese Art.
Back in Belgium, she started her own business in 1986, first at home for two years before opening her gallery at the Sablon in 1989. She became an active member of the “Chambre Royale des Antiquaires de Belgique”, member of the CINOA; she is also member of the SNA (France) . In 2003,her husband Michel, a former consultant ( Ingénieur Commercial Solvay & M.B.A.Columbia University) joined her activity. They closed the gallery in 2010 and keep a stock of attractive antiques, mainly Chinese and Japanese. A sample of these antiques can be seen shown on this website and more are available on request.
